Happy New Year and welcome to the Girl's Golf of the Northshore blog engine where we intend to share interesting information, articles, opinions, and facts about the growing girls golf movement. We will have a number of contributing bloggers including golf pros, high school & college golfers, college recruiters, parents, and even some of our young, up and coming, girls golf stars.
First, a little information about Girls Golf of the Northshore from my perspective as a parent of a daughter who plays golf. When my daughter became interested in learning golf and being successful at it, we found it difficult to find other girls her age who had the same golf interests. The LPGA created the Girls Golf Program for girls, about girls, and with fun, girl-centric golf programming. Most importantly, our local chapter, Girls Golf of the Northshore, connects girls with other girls who share the same passion for the game and the life lessons golf teaches both on an off the course.
Welcome to our blog; we welcome your input and feedback. As I say to my daughter all the time whether she's got a golf club in her hands or not, " Play the course, don't let the course play you ".
